Live streams and recordings
You can ask your Funeral Director to have the funeral service streamed live online or recorded.
As our lives get busier and friends and families spread out across the globe, it can prove difficult to come together to mourn the loss of a loved one. It’s also unfortunate that friends and relatives can sometimes miss a ceremony for reasons such as a hospital stay or long-term health issues.
Livestreaming
There’s a small, unobtrusive camera in crematorium chapels, focused on the minister or celebrant giving the service. Chapels have microphones around the room to reflect the full ambience during the service.
How to book
Contact your Funeral Director to book a live stream, which must be done at least 48 working hours before the service.
You’ll be given step-by-step instructions and a secure username and password, which can then be shared. Viewers can log in ahead of time to check they can view the test stream before the funeral. Your Funeral Director can guide you through the process. There is a charge to access the live stream.
Interruptions to broadband
Due to the nature of the internet, we cannot guarantee that a live-streamed service will not be interrupted or error-free due to broadband service.
