Read about how to select a Funeral Director.
Using a funeral director
Many people choose to use a professional funeral director, who can help through what is usually an incredibly stressful time. They’ll also advise you about the options available to you and ensure the remains of the deceased are dealt with in a dignified way.
Friends, family, clergy or your doctor may be able to recommend local funeral directors. Local companies are also listed online or in the telephone directory.
Most funeral directors are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors or the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors. Members of these trade organisations must provide you with a price list on request and cannot exceed any written estimate they give you without your permission.
